One day we started to wonder what a system configured just like the “other guys” design would look like – but with all Xtreme Recall components instead. At first we referred to this as the “Competition Killer” package, then later shortened it to just “Comp K” (we thought it would be more polite)...

What we ultimately came up with is a design that is lighter, smaller, more rugged, experiences less vibration and is much easier to use. Everything outside your pack is waterproof to the point of submersion: Sony micro-cam, quick-disconnect, and microphone. You could almost call this package a “stripped down - best of everything” configuration. Top-of-the-line in every respect but has only what you need. Nothing you don’t. This configuration is a work horse designed from the ground up to deliver the highest possible performance, with the least amount of weight or bulk, at the lowest possible cost. Purchase “as is” or use as a starting point for configuring your ideal system by adding only the accessories you need.

Li-Ion Battery Pack (with universal wall charger and car charger)

A rechargeable battery pack will be less expensive to use over the long run, provides longer run time (7+hours) and is more resistant to damage from a fall/crash than a standard AA battery holder. Though not a critical accessory, it is nice to have if you plan to use your Xtreme Recall Helmet Cam frequently.

Remote Control

This little marvel of technology is hands-down our favorite Helmet Cam accessory. It will turn your camcorder on/off, start record/stop record and let you know when you have run out of tape or camcorder battery life. If that weren't enough, it's also extremely easy to use and can be positioned just about anywhere on your body. The end result is this remote extends your battery and tape by allowing you to only record the moments you want - and saves on video editing time.
